I love butterflies. If I can buy something I need with butterflies on I will – like my duvet at home or even my compact mirror. Even the home page of this blog has a line of them! And if I was ever brave enough to get a tattoo, I would get a butterfly.
I’m not even sure why I like them so much. Maybe it’s because they’re beautiful and fragile or that they represent spring and summer or that they seem so free.
They suggest life to me.
Hopes and dreams.

/ February 19, 2011I agree butterfly inspired designs tend to be very pretty. I personally like butterfly inspired designs in hairclips. I remember when I was a kid, I was terrified of butterflies though…haha!

/ November 16, 2011I love butterflies, too. My goal is to one day get a decent picture of one in the wild.
A few years ago, we went to a Monarch Butterfly exhibit (the Botanical Gardens somehow captured them during a migration). There were hundreds of them in this screened in exhibit and we could see them up close – but couldn’t touch because it could damage their wings.
Like one of the other commenters, I adore cats, too. I have three of them!
