The lovely Becky from blogs-of-a-bookaholic tagged me with some questions to answer so here we go!
Would you ever try using a Ouiji board?
No – I don’t think I believe in ghosts (I’ve never seen one) and I don’t think you’d know if the glass was moving because of a ghost or someone was moving it themselves.
Kindle or physical book?
Physical book for me. Yesterday I cleared out some cupboards to make room for some of my books:
I might succumb to a Kindle one day for travelling but I’d never give up print books (unless they stopped making them!! Which I really hope doesn’t happen) – I like to collect fancy editions of my favourite books.
Do you find it easy to forgive and forget?
No, not really. I kind of hold grudges. I need to work on that!
Writing or reading?
That’s like Sophie’s choice! I love both I’m afraid so I can’t possible pick
If you had the chance to spend a whole hour with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Either JK Rowling in the hope I pick up tips of how to have a billion-selling book or Joshua Jackson and trick him into marrying me
Least favorite genre of book?
I don’t have a least favourite but I don’t read memoirs / biographies. I stick to fiction!
Disney or Pixar?
Another tough one and I could get technical here and say the films they made together! But I only had Disney growing up so I’ll go with that.
Your favorite quote?
I just found a good one:
To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting.
e. e. Cummins
Favorite mythical creature? (can range from vampires to Dragons etc)
Vampires!
Which stereotype do/did you fall under in school? (e.g. The Jock, the cheerleader, goth, geek etc)
I don’ t really think I did, I don’t think we have them as much over here. If I had to pick out of those I’d go for geek.
What colour is your bedroom?
Brown and cream.
What about you guys?
Victoria

/ May 10, 2012Would you ever try using a Ouiji board?
Hmm not sure. Think it would freak me out too much!
Kindle or physical book?
I’ve never used a kindle, so I’d go for physical book. However, if I had to commute on the train again I might be tempted.
Do you find it easy to forgive and forget?
I try to forgive, but I never forget.
Writing or reading?
Oh godddd, well I write for my job so I can’t give that up otherwise I’d have no money. But, I love reading. No, don’t make me choose!
If you had the chance to spend a whole hour with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Depends what I get to do with them…
Least favorite genre of book?
Probably non-fiction. Sorry guys! Or horror, as I scare easily.
Disney or Pixar?
Ohh hard one. I grew up on Disney, but I love Pixar offerings now. Maybe Disney because of the classics.
Your favorite quote?
Have so many quotes I like. Dumbledore def wins (think I put this before) – Words are our most inexhaustible source of magic.
Favorite mythical creature? (can range from vampires to Dragons etc)
Vampires!
Which stereotype do/did you fall under in school? (e.g. The Jock, the cheerleader, goth, geek etc)
We don’t have them so much in the UK, but I had glasses AND braces, so probably geeky. Although I did go through a grungey phase.
What colour is your bedroom?
Lime green (seriously..)

/ May 11, 2012It’s weird we don’t have as many school stereotypes over here, I used to wish I was at an American high school! High five for geeks though

/ May 10, 2012Would you ever try using a Ouiji board?
I made one back in my teenage years – my bestfriend and I used it and IT WORKED. I’m not kidding, it really worked and we are both still freaked out to this day by it.
Kindle or physical book?
Physical book, definitely.
Do you find it easy to forgive and forget?
It’s extremely easy for me to forgive, not so much forget. The older I’ve gotten, the more easy it’s become to forgive.
Writing or reading?
Writing. Used to be the other way around, though.
If you had the chance to spend a whole hour with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Probably Ellen Degeneres. She’s hilarious and I’m thinking she’d have me laughing the entire time.
Least favorite genre of book?
Would have to be sci-fi.
Disney or Pixar?

Your favorite quote?
Blessed is he who expects nothing… for he shall never be disappointed.
Favorite mythical creature?

Which stereotype do/did you fall under in school? (e.g. The Jock, the cheerleader, goth, geek etc)
‘Hood’!! For anyone not familiar with this, some of the main features were big hair, moccasin boots and bandanas. Lots of ‘em.
What colour is your bedroom?
Twilight blue (periwinkle) and white.

/ May 11, 2012I think you need to blog about your Ouiji board story – I’m intrigued! Hood – hilarious! I had big hair too

Never again. Not after my childhood Ouiji experience http://lisawieldswords.wordpress.com/2011/10/15/do-you-believe-in-ghosts/
Kindle or physical book?
I admit to having succumbed to the joys of a Kindle. I still love and prefer physical books, but the ease of shopping for something new to read at night after I finish one book is wonderful. Plus it makes travel easier.
Do you find it easy to forgive and forget?
I wish I could do both, but I can’t seem to let go.
Writing or reading?
I refuse to choose.
If you had the chance to spend a whole hour with a celebrity, who would you choose?
I’m not sure at the moment.
Least favorite genre of book?

Your favorite quote?
Again, I refuse to choose.

Some lovely answers. I too hold grudges, I wish I didn’t but it’s very difficult.
Also I love your big stack of books! I have to say I recognise a lot of the covers from my own shelf

Yes, can’t be bothered with grudges, too much trouble. I stop seeing those who keep being crap.

Both, no way to separate the two.
If you had the chance to spend a whole hour with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Seamus Heaney, Carol-Ann Duffy, Dan Marino,
Least favorite genre of book?
