Inception and rock n roll

As promised my thoughts on Inception. Be warned spoilers below!

Okay I loved it – action, sci fi, mystery and amazing effects plus some great actors (i’m loving Ellen Page). Yes the plot is complex, yes the idea way out there but the whole idea of shaping dreams, mixing reailty and building new worlds was really cool!

I love The Matrix and there were similarities I thought, basically what is real? It’s such a mind twister and exploring it in film has endless possibilties I think.

So the ending of the film? I’m clear the point is he doesn’t care if it’s real because he has his kids back but I think he is back in reailty – his dad is never in the dream world, to me he leads him back to reailty at the end – what do u think???

To sum up I would def rewatch it and I think it has potential to join my favourite s list. I need to get out the bonus features now might take a while to get through tho!!

My rating- pretty close to 5 out of 5 and I’m feeling generous so let’s go with that!!

On another note, I can’t stop listening to The Runaways and Joan Jett hits albums I got after I watched The Runaways film. I’m loving them! Here are my favourites so far…

Hope you enjoy the songs too, play em loud!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

Vix x

  1. I have seen Inception several times and it never gets old — part of why it’s so awesome! I’m glad you liked it. I loved that it challenged the audience to think for themselves.

  2. I like Inception a lot… but I have to be the bad guy and disagree with everyone here 😦

For me, the more times I watched it, the worse it gets because the thrill of the heist is not there anymore. I think the emotional component of the story still holds up on multiple viewings, but the way the inception works feels very simple and frankly quite boring :/ I still like the film tho…

  3. Hmm… how so?

The first time I watched the movie, I thought she was there just for the sake of having a young female character. Most of the time, she was standing around doing nothing, asking questions so that Leo can conveniently explain the “rules”. She was almost the “Jar Jar Binks” of the movie I thought… But I liked how when everyone thought that the mission was over, she was the one who said let’s carry on, so I thought that was a good moment.

    1. She’s also the one that get’s Leo to confront his wife and move forward once and for all. But you’re right, she’s there to guide us through the plot explaination bits. She draws a cool maze tho 🙂
