Sounds of the 70’s

The seventies is a musical era I’m a big fan of and if a real time machine ever pops up, I’d definitely like to head back and enjoy the music right then and there. As that is unlikely, I’ll just have to put up with listening to the music of that era now. Here are some of my favourites …

Fleetwood Mac – Landslide:

Joni Mitchell – Help me

Carole King – You’ve got a friend

Elton John – Your Song

Carly Simon – You’re so vain

Blondie – Sunday Girl

The Runaways – Cherrybomb

David Bowie – Changes

Did I miss anyone?

  1. Fleetwood Mac was one of my mom’s faves, but she loved most of those. This reminds me of all the times I danced and sang with her. Love it 🙂

  2. I was totally going to suggest Queen as well! And Electric Light Orchestra! I grew up on 70s music as well… listening to the albums my parents were fans of when they were in middle school/high school. Elton John’s music makes my heart melt… “Your Song” is one of my favorites, with “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” “I Guess That’s Why They Call it the Blues,” and “My Father’s Gun” right up there with it 🙂

  3. I love the 70’s, I think there’s too much for one wee post. It was such an interesting time in the world. I wonder what it would have been like to be an adult back then.

  4. Boney m are my favourite…nd i love abba…there was a time i listened to carole king around the clock… I still adore this 70’s music….what a blast..

  5. I love that era too. Do you remember “Free”. They had a song called “Alright Now” which was great. I was a massive Fleetwood Mac fan as well. I could go on forever but it brought back some nice memories
