The peak and the pit

I stole this idea from the Kardashian family who discuss their day over dinner each talking about the peak i.e. the best bit and the pit i.e. the worst bit of their day. So I’m going to apply this to my day yesterday.

The pit was getting a call back to the doctor after my blood tests. I was really nervous as I dislike the doctor’s at the bets of time and I was worried about what he would say. turns out I have a slight iron deficiency so need to take supplements for 6 weeks. Could have been a lot worse so I’m grateful that was all that came up. Hopefully they will make me feel a bit less tied but he thought it was my pace of life that was mostly to blame. Commuting is evil :0

The peak of my day was getting a certain package through the door …

After all your votes, I decided to splash out on the bag. I ended up buying it online, which is always a gamble but I love it!

The second peak of the day was receiving another blogger award yay! Thanks to Jenna @ for passing me the blog loving award:

I’ve only just got to know Jenna so I’m super flattered she has given this to me and I’ve added her to my blogroll, check her blog out guys!

After the doctors, I went shopping with mum and got a few tops and a butterfly necklace. I might be obsessed with butterflies πŸ™‚ I also got the newest Glee Cd and I am Number Four on DVD – I’ll let you know what I think about it after I watch it. The weather is bad today so it’ll be nice to curl up with that! We also popped into a tattoo parlour as I’m considering getting one but I’m really indecisive about what to choose and scared about the potential pain so we shall see if I end up going through with it or not, I’ll keep you posted!

Have a fab Saturday everyone!

  1. Glad to hear it’s an iron deficiency ( as opposed to something that you can’t take anything for) hope you start to feel better soon. And hooray for the bag–tres chic.

  2. So happy you just need supplements…now you will have strength to carry that magnificent bag with lovely butterfly…first one.
What type of tops? Summer has such variety…
    so happy on news

  3. Sounds like you had a day of more peaks than pits. I think that’s great. The butterfly bag is wonderful. I’m so glad that all you need is an iron supplement (well, and a lifestyle change but that can be fixed).

If you want a tattoo and are obsessed with butterflies, why not a butterfly tattoo?

    Congrats on another well-deserved award.

  4. Aww what a pretty purse! The girls I volunteer with and I always talk about our “highs and lows” from the previous week which is the same idea as the peak and pit. It’s a great way to get caught up on things. πŸ™‚

  5. I hope you feel tons better after 6 weeks of iron supplements.
    Your new purse is lovely!!
Will you be getting a butterfly tattoo? I got one when I was 23 or 24. The stupid artist talked me out of the one I really wanted, and years later I had it (mostly) removed. Brightly colored ink is hard to get out. Make a wise choice, and stick with it.

  6. You are truly welcome Vix πŸ™‚ At least it was only iron, and nothing more serious. Hope that the Iron supplement works, and you will start to feel a lot better! Thanks for the lovely comments and of course your lovely posts! You rock πŸ™‚ I love the bag!! I haven’t seen I am Number Four yet, but I heard it was really good, can’t wait to see your review on it! and of course I am just starting out a Glee, still working on Season 1, ha! Have a Sweet Saturday!

  7. I’m glad the bag turned out ok – even though you didn’t see it before you bought it πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Take your supplements and you will be fine. Just don’t forget! xxx

  8. I’m so thankful that everything will be all right w/regard to your blood tests – iron deficiency, while crappy, is at least treatable. Yay!! πŸ™‚ Enjoy your lovely new bag, your Glee CD and curling up w/a movie – you deserve a rest today

  9. Well I am glad that at least you can do a little something about it for the time being. Those commutes can take their toll on you. I had to drive only 17 miles to work, but there was so much traffic it would take an hour to get there. I ended up leaving early to get to work and working late to avoid traffic. There was so much work, I would just power through lunch, I was effectively working over ten hours a day. I was rundown and just a miserable person, until I realized it and then made some changes. It’s really not worth your health.
On the plus side, yay for new purses!!!!!! I love getting new toys. And if you do get a tat, make sure that you feel comfortable with the artist. A lot of my friends are into ink, and they have some really great artist friends, but there are a lot of ones that don’t care about the work they do. So chat with him/her and make sure you feel comfortable with them. That is, if you decide to do it.

  10. Great post! And I’m glad that’s all it is! I’ve been praying! πŸ™‚ I love the bag! It’s super cute! Enjoy the CD and the movie! That’s one of the only Glee Cds I don’t have but I love the movie!
Also what tattoo are you thinking of? I’m not sure I would ever get one but I think on most people (as long as they’re not to large and obvious! :D) they’re pretty legit!

  11. D’oh, that’s right. I’ve got to take a blood test about one month ago. I should get on that, eh?

The bag is gorgeous, though! And I like the pit first, peak to conclude approach. πŸ™‚
