I don’t think I would have put my hand up when asked if I was a girlie girl when I was a teenager. But spending my Sunday relaxing in a bubble bath using a body scrub and hair mask, I realised that I am definitely one now. I may not like pink but I definitely indulge in my girlie side.
Here’s the evidence:
1. I love to pamper myself. I love products. I get excited walking into Boots and seeing all the creams and lotions on sale.
2. I use make-up pretty much every day and have quite a large collection. And yes I don’t look good without it π
3. I get very excited by accessories. Mainly handbags and scarves. I have far too many and my eye goes straight to them in a shop.
4. I have been to a Westlife concert. And enjoyed it.
5. I am a huge fan of Twilight. Mainly because I fell in love with Edward.
6. I’d like to be serenaded by Michael Buble and swept off my feet by Mr Darcy.
7. I love teddy bears. I have far too many for a woman my age. Plus they colour coordinate with my bedroom!
8. Pictures of animals like this make me melt:
9. I am not practical. I managed to fuse all the upstairs lights trying to change one bulb.
10. I love cupcakes especially if they have glitter on!
Any other girlie girls out there?

xx
I too love makeup, pampering myself and cupcakes. I’m also not that pratical…
but I hate Westlife, boybands and nearly all love songs ever created. Apart from Berlin, The proclaimers and, err…. one song by NKOTB…..
can I still be classed as a girl???
Jules x
Yeah I think so π
Yep… I’m definitely not a girl… O.O
Now are you sure?! π
Um…. I can probably count on both hands the amount of time I’ve worn make up this year. I don’t do teddy bears….. Although I do have a large piglet hot water bottle ( but that’s different ) and a floppy eeyore for when I’m sad.
However! I do DO boots, shoes, handbags, floaty summer dresses, nails and finally pamper bath times are a girls given right in my view ( preferably accompanied with a glass of wine, candles and soft music ).
Does that make me a girl?
Floppy Eeyore cute! Yes you are a girl – candles, nails, baths, handbags .. oh my π
I have my girly moments.
Tick!
Well your list made me smile. I may not be a girl or a girlie girl but I know someone who is and much of this list applies to her
Aw glad you have a girlie lady by your side!
I’m definitely more of a tomboy! π
I won’t hold it against you π
I’m such a tomboy!
You are but I still heart you π
I have my girly moments as well, but I’m generally more of a tomboy these days. I did preorder my Breaking Dawn tickets in October so we do have Twilight in common though. And Blake Lively’s dog is so adorable!
Can’t wait to see it π
I’m not a girl of that variety at allllll. Lol.
So funny how different we all are.
Haha well we can’t all be the same π
Oh my gosh.. I think I just realized I’m slightly a girlie girl, I only related to about half of these but that’s way more than I would’ve considered myself to be… If I could be swept off my feet by Mr. Darcy, I definitely would and I too have a lot of stuffed animals. The accessory thing I also relate quite well with! π Great post!
I love that you’re more girlie than you thought π
I love Twilight, too. I am also in love with Edward. I think we’re going to have to fight for him. π Also love makeup!!! A bunch of my friends just signed up for this http://www.birchbox.com/?raf=blp4i. I’m thinking about it, too, but I already have so much. But I always like trying new things.
Haha I think we’ll have to fight off most of the girls in the world π Make-up is a dangerous addiction π
Love it! I definitely wasn’t a girle girl growing up at all. It really wasn’t until my senior year of college that I began to accept that being a “girl” was really okay, haha! Anyway, I am SO into all things glittery and girly and sparkly and princessy and romantic and etc now… love it! I have lots of years to make up for, haha!
I like that you’ve grown into it! And one day I want to come to one of your Princess parties π
Looking at your list, I think I might be half a girlie-girl. I always have been. I used to primp a lot more before I had kids. (I used to paint my nails a different color every week…now I do well just to keep the dirt out from under them.) I like to wear dresses and cute shoes and love to buy new colors of lipstick.
Haha it must be harder to pamper yourself looking after them π
I am a girly girl as much as one can be, haha. π
Yay for another girlie girl!
Yes, definitely a girlie-girl! I love large bubble baths, with candles and a glass of wine adorning the side… nothing in the world is more relaxing! π
Thumbs up π
I’m the same way. When I was younger, not so much a girly girl. But I’m definitely turning into one.
Cupcakes? And glitter? Together? WHERE?
Haha imagine a shop that just sold them!
I love all your girlie extremes. You know what would be a perfect day, watching Twilight and then soaking in a bubble bath while reading Pride and Prejudice and then going shopping! And then cupcakes! LOL
That would be an AMAZING day!
I wouldn’t have considered myself girlie in the past, but I definitely picked up some girlie adorations. Hair & makeup products, home decor items , I own a sewing machine that lives in my craft room. I have a business that sells flower and feather hair accessories, my closet is mainly shoes….
But… I don’t consider myself a classic case. I am quite athletic, I can squat 135 lbs, I love football, I own my own tools ( and definitely know how to use them).
I guess I’m either quite confusing or like too many different things
I think it’s great you love different things!
