I carved a pumpkin and I liked it

My first pumpkin carving experience went like this:

So the pumpkin skin was tougher than I thought but I managed to get the top off and clear out the pretty gross insides. Harry was confused by the process.

I do not think I had the right knife. I blaming my tools! But I managed to carve a face. Possibly the happiest pumpkin in the world?

It took a few attempts (ahem) to light the tea lights inside and put the lid on without them extinguishing but hurrah it is lit!

Harry decided to help out and give me a scary pose to compensate for the too-happy pumpkin.

He then agreed to pose with the pumpkin and candles to create a pumpkin display. He's still there. (just kidding!)

The pumpkin AFTER (poor thing). The moral of the story is I need some more practice at pumpkin carving.
