  1. Just found your blog through Rachel at This Italian Family. I love all of your posts I have read so far, you seem so talented and I love your viewpoints! So glad I found your blog 🙂

  2. Thanks for the comment! I looked at a lot of your recent posts and will be subscribing. Your music taste and choice of books are really interesting and I love reading blogs about that.

  3. Hi there!
What a treat. Glad you found me, and I’m guessing through Lisa’s blog? I’m digging your website. Love that the design isn’t too over-powering. Nicely done. Here’s to creating a community of BF’s (blogger friends) I’m looking forward to perusing your older posts and have subscribed for the new!

  4. I just found your blog, through our friend the lovely Tien. I just got this sketchbook with the inscription “Shopaholics I met and liked”, and guess what, I’m putting your name in there 🙂

  5. Found your blog randomly. I see you have started to read mine which I appreciate more than words can describe. I have some questions about writing, do you have an email address I can contact you at?

  6. Hi. I found your blog in tinkerbelles bloglist and just want to say that it’s amazing.. you’re writing is very cute and it’s interesting to read…Good luck for you and I will surely stay tuned. 🙂

  7. Hello Vix, I found your blog while perusing the music section.

I also have Sunday dedicated to sweet sound. You might like to have a look yourself.
    The link is http://thesleepymoose.wordpress.com/category/music/ .

Isn’t it funny how a diary and a music collection are two of a person’s most valued and personal possessions; yet bloggers present them both, freely available, to the world.

I just made that connection while writing that I look forward to listening to your music and reading your blog. lol

Well I look forward to listening to your music and reading your blog! 😉

    namaste, Mús

  8. Hi! I found your blog through Tinkerbell’s site, and I really enjoy it so I subscribed! I’m still reading through many of your entries, but my question is: do you have any pieces of any of the books you’re trying to publish posted to your blog somewhere? I would love to read them…I am big into YA fiction, and I also would love to have my writing published one day, but I’ve never been brave enough to submit anything to a publisher. Can’t wait to read more from you!

  9. Hey Victoria,

I know I don’t comment often enough, for you to know me by my name. But I love your blog and have listed it up for “The Liebster Blog award”!

    Congratulations!

    Keep penning.

    Regards,
    Bittercharm

  10. Congrats Lil Ms. Vix – its a looong way down until I can find the end of your ‘comment’ role. You have done well over the past year! I am a new blogger and pretend author trying to find whats hip in the world of blogging. And so here is where I landed!

Good luck to you in your next year! If you have any advice check me out and post me some. I look forward to more of your musings…from across the pond in coastal South Carolina.

    ~Andy

  14. I write my blog cause I like to write my diaries. It’s really help me to construct my writing ability. If you have free time, could you give me a comment on my blog. Cause I am an Indonesian who like to use English in my writing. Thank you in advance

  15. Hello there. I feel a bit out of place here being a bloke-type-person. But I thought I should comment all the same, in keeping with correct netiquette based requirements. Part of my job is to go on wild blog hunts asking for guest posts, but I liked your page. I’m really into reading. I’m more into older fiction, though, so I can stroke my beard and feel all profound. Except I don’t have a beard. Dang. Oh well, tarra!

  16. I still say “tarra” as an anachronistic gesture to… something. I hope you don’t mind me asking, but have you tried getting your short stories published at all? I wrote a book last year and have so far sent it to a grand total of ONE literary agent, who turned me down. I think I need to put a bit more effort in. Still, I know it will be like coming up against a stick wall. Really big sticks, too.

    1. 🙂 I haven’t tried to publish any short stories but am currently submitting a book to agents. Congrats on writing a book but you need to send it out to a lot more than one agent!! Yep you’ll get a lot of rejections but it’s all about persistence. What type of book is it?

      1. Yes, I have accepted my fate with the agents. It’s a picture book a bit like Where’s Wally, but it’s called Where’s Wolly. Clever, no? Hah, just kidding. It’s fiction, alternative, I guess. I haven’t really thought about genre. I use “the” quite a lot in it. It can go in the “Books With ‘The’ In Them” section. What about yourself?

      1. Ohh really. I’m going to take a wild stab in the dark at… hmm.. Ashford? I can’t actually think of anywhere else! Haha.

Well, I actually live in Hertfordshire now, but my parents are still in Middlesex, as are the majority of my friends! 🙂

  17. Aha, I’m psychic! Well, Ashford is only about ermm 15 minutes away from my parent’s house! 🙂

    Yes, that would be fun!

PS – Yes, I would love to read your book, that would be awesome.

      1. Ohh, I’m guessing you’re the opposite way to me (Egham/Stainsey way) , as you said you were Surrey. My parents are Richmond borough. 🙂

Anyways, I’m going to stop being a stalker and get back to writing.

        Ciao!

  18. Hi Victoria,

I have been lurking *hangs head in shame* and this week I told myself that I must follow some blogs that I keep coming back to. So, ta-da, I’m following you!

I also want to thank you, you recently commented on my rejection post over at LImebird Writers. {4amWriter is my alter-ego 🙂 }I really appreciate your kind words and support and it is helpful to know another writer who is struggling with the query stage.

Good luck with your writing endeavors and I look forward to reading more of your blog!

    1. Haha welcome Kate, thanks for de-lurking and following! Your post helped me know I’m not alone so thank you for that, we can do it! Good luck to you too, I’m hoping over to your blog now 🙂

  19. Hello my friend,
I like your writing up here. I think if you keep doing what you’re doing now, you will have good future. So keep it up my friend! 🙂
I have a joyful ride in your blog, and now I’d like to invite you to visit mine. Thank you and have a wonderful day, my friend! 🙂
    Subhan Zein

  20. Bonjour! I like the blog and hope the writing goes well! Why not try e-publishing on Amazon or somewhere? It’s cheap and a good place to get started. It’s also going to be the future, although I’ll miss the old paperbacks and will still horde them lovingly.

If, per chance, you have the time you should endeavour to check out http://www.professionalmoron.com . This be my blog. Indeed. It’s quite quirky.

  21. Hi Victoria… I found your blog when wordpress set it as a suggestion because we seem to follow similar sites. In looking around, I feel I will enjoy your words and music. I write for my own enjoyment only and started my blog January 2012. I don’t consider myself a poet or writer, just a lowly word bender. If you stop by, please leave a comment or suggestions as I try to use them to improve. Maybe some day I will be able to just write…..

  22. Just want to let you know, Victoria, that I have nominated you for the Liebster Blog Award! Congratulations!

    6. Answer the questions left for you by the blogger who gave you the award.

My Nominations of 11 other bloggers for the Liebster Award and their blog sites:

[Please note: The chronological order has nothing to do with beauty–or wonder—each are BEAUTIFUL in their own way and should all be #1 ! I just wanted to be sure to follow the rules and award 11, so I numbered them! (smile)]

    1. http://tuesdayswithlaurie.com Laurie’s blog offers helpful understandings of who you are and how to BE your best self as well as stories of the heart.

    2. http://simonmussell.com Simon presents to us deep reflections about how we live, why we live, what we live, and how we can live better…choices.

    3. http://daylighttune.wordpress.com Yoshiko and Hikari Yori have jointly written a beautiful blog of insightful reflections of daily life and the presence of Jesus in their lives by a husband and wife.

    4. http://beebeesworld.wordpress.com Beebee is a versatile blogger, who writes poetry and weaves her family’s experiences in and our of her lovely postings! She writes about nature and real life. She is also a photographer with a keen eye for the subtleties of life.

    5. http://sachemspeaks.wordpress.com This dear author, Sachem, shares with us his Native American heritage, specifically the Eastern Woodland American Traditional Native People. The stories he speaks of are so beautiful and take my heart to a simple way to live life, close to Mother Earth and to the heart of people. It also speaks of the harsh history of our ancestors and the horrible treatment of his people. This blog will give you an honest perspective into the lives of Sachem’s people and could only lead us all to more respect for the Native Americans and help us to all love one another

    6. http://davesjourneyandadventure.wordpress.com David Eugene’s blog provides useful information about healthy vegetables, nature and the world! He travels and is engaged in life…very interesting blog!

    7. https://victoria-writes.com/ Victoria is an aspiring author for Young Adult literature (if I understood the YA correctly!) who is on the way to great success. Her blog is refreshing to read and her mood is light, ambitious and happy! Her joy is felt in her words and her determination is to be admired!

    8. http://seraphim6.me This is a delightful blog of writing and photography, and in the author’s own words, “having fun.”

    9. http://secret-cities.com/ OR http://inherit-the-earth.com Kieran Meeke presents a traveler’s heart’s delight without leaving the comfort of your home. He is the author of several sites and is a travel writer and editor….what more could we ask for?! The London blog presents us with photographs and a bit of history with each. The “Inherit the Earth” blog takes us to Africa, Australia, the Middle East—everywhere on the globe! Enjoy!

    Kieran in Syria, 2009

    10. http://personsofpassion.wordpress.com This woman writes with such passion and heartfelt sensitivity towards so many! Her writings and poetry are beautiful and penetrate deep into your heart!

    11. http://themovingsilent.wordpress.com Karzan Kardozi is a sensitive writer and photographer from Iraq. The first story of his that caught me deeply was Thalassemia: Shadow of Death. This story moved me because of the sensitivity in which it was written about the family that he came to know over time and the suffering of the family from the generic disease. Karzan writes with his heart! Karzan’s main focus is on films and cinema–his reviews are so interesting to read! But even more profound that all that he writes, is the documentary that he is working on and that should be known around the world: Halabja Documentary: Nasrin’s Story.

11 questions from me to respond to with your acceptance of the Liebster Award (or choose 5 of the 11):

    3. Which is your favorite meal of the day…breakfast? lunch? dinner? and describe it.

    4. What do you enjoy most in life?

    5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I have found the awards so meaningful…it is an honor to receive recognition from a fellow blogger and, more importantly, it encourages one to read other blogs and introduces us to such talented creative people! I think the awards help to strengthen the Writing Community here on WordPress. Congratulations, Victoria!
