2019 Books: January

I can’t believe it’s time for a new book tracking year! I’m going to do what I did last year and list all the books I read each month and then pick a favourite out.

I’d love to know what you guys are reading and if you have any recommendations for me so please do comment below 👇🏻

January is a LONG month so I managed to read four novels and one memoir.

– Agatha Raisin and the Quiche Of Death – the first in a funny cosy crime series.

– Everyday – a YA romance about someone who wakes up in a different body each day. It’s now a film and I enjoyed both this month!

– The Binding – It’s a unique historical / fantasy story set in the world of books with a romantic twist. Definitely an original book.

– Educated – a memoir about a woman growing up in a family she ends up having to leave. It’s a sad, crazy and ultimately inspiring story.

My favourite book I read this month was this one:

This is a historical novel about a silk weaver’s wife and her lady’s maid set in Spitalfields, London. It’s compelling from the start, drawing you into the past, and creating two characters you root for immediately. I didn’t want to put it down!
