My debut novel The Second Love Of My Life was first published here in the UK a year ago today! It was a dream come true to hold the book in my hands and see it on the book shelves. And it still is.
I still receive messages from readers who have enjoyed the book and that is always the most wonderful feeling. Getting published was a long journey for me, and for most writers, so knowing the book has found a place in someone’s heart just makes it all worthwhile.
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who got a copy and supported the book’s release (and who are still supporting it and me!). Being a writer can be lonely sometimes and it’s easy to doubt yourself so knowing that someone has enjoyed your book is a huge boost and you guys have put a smile on my face so many times since publication.
Lots of love and hugs,
A really quick post to say thank you to you lovely lot for all your support in 2015! This year has flown by and I’m so excited to share more of publication journey with you when 2016 arrives and I can finally say “my novel is being published THIS year!”
Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year! And Harry sends you all a hearty meow too 🙂
See you on the other side!
Lots of Christmas love,
To celebrate World Book Day 2015 here are my favourite bookish quotes:
Did I miss your favourite book quote?
This Saturday is Valentine’s Day, which means it’s a perfect time to pull out a romance and snuggle under the covers and fall in love with a new book boyfriend. I thought I’d share some of my favourite romance novels with you depending on what mood you’re in when Valentine’s Day rolls around ….
If you want a high school romance ….
If you want to try a New Adult romance, my favourites are …
If you want a romance that will also make you laugh …
If you want to cry ….
If you want to escape …
If you’d enjoy a coming-of-age love story …
If you want fantasy mixed in with your romance …
If you want a dystopian take on love …
If you want a classic romance …
What other romances would you recommend?

What we look like at the start of Christmas …
What we look like at the end!
This present is for me isn’t it?
With my cousin on Christmas Day
With my uncle!
With my cousin
With my mum
Obviously had to have one with Harry too … he was not impressed though 🙂
Changed into our Christmas jumpers in the evening!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas too!
It’s almost time guys!!!
Christmas is almost upon us – time with family, presents to unwrap, festive TV to watch, games to play but let’s face it, it’s really all about the food 🙂
Have a lovely Christmas everyone, thanks for being awesome this year and supporting me and this blog! I’ll leave you with The Muppets and shall see you on the other side …
I love decorating the house for Christmas and we were the first in our road to get ours up. And I had a special helper* this year too
*not going to lie, he was more of a hinderance 😉
Harry definitely thought the Christmas tree and decorations were cats toys and I spent a lot of time chasing him away from them. But he did keep a close eye on me making sure I decorated the tree correctly!
I think he was happy with the finished result!
As at Christmas you never need an excuse for a tipple, my mum and I stopped by the place the family are going to for Christmas day dinner and sat in their library section for a glass of Prosecco. Fizz plus books! I could have stayed here all night 😉 Am now every excited to go back on the 25th and sample their food.
I think we all need a lamp made of books:
My Christmas shopping is pretty much finished so I’m now off to wrap presents in front of Elf …
